Since around April 21, Google Play apps have experienced a significant drop in ratings and reviews, with decreases of up to 60–80% in some cases. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many apps. Google has confirmed the problem on their end and indicated that a fix is expected to be rolled out starting May 5, 2026.

There seems to be an issue on the Google Play side, and many apps are experiencing a drop down in rating and reviews (mostly positive). It seems to be affecting many apps, and we’re currently investigating any actions that can be taken from our end, while waiting for Google to roll out a fix. We will keep our clients updated.
